Technology in the Classroom

As a part of the course, students will utilize personal devices to document artwork for their digital portfolios. Students will need to accept and follow classroom and school rules surrounding technology use, or they will be banned from using technology in the classroom. These rules are outlined on the syllabus and the Class Procedures powerpoint.

Throughout the course of the year, students will keep “Digital Portfolios” to document their art-making progress. These folders will include photographs of their artwork as well as artist statements written about their artwork. Please view the link below for a basic understanding of how to set-up a digital portfolio.

We will also use Google classroom as a part of the course. Students will be able to check current assignments and due dates, and submit photos of artwork as a way to turn in assignments. Check your course page on this website or look on the syllabus to find your class code for Google classroom.
